On my first day at #VMworld 2015, I spent most of the time talking to attendees at the #DatriumStorage booth. Flash got accepted as part of modern datacenters and many attendees are searching for the right solution.
The Datrium DVX is the first solution which reduces the price of flash to a level where it is affordable to everyone with a persistent storage appliance. This solution allows you to replace your expensive and rigid storage array with a solution which is affordable and you don’t have to worry about expensive controller upgrades in the future.
The image above shows a Cisco UCS with 4 blades and a Datrium NetShelf from the Datrium booth. A Datrium DVX provides dedupe and compression with host-side-caching (BYOD) which reduces the price for flash by 10x.
Our first day has been very busy and it was great talking to so many attendees and introduce our solution. Some of the quotes from visitors of our booth are below:
I love the idea of BYO flash.
We have been waiting for such a solution for many years.
This is a great fit for our VDI environment
All my #vExpert fellows, don’t forget to stop by and grab your vExpert Bluetooth Speaker at booth 1747.
